Whistler notifies Cass that <An Indian by name of Godfroy> arrived at Fort Wayne the night before and told him that before he had arrived at Fort Wayne, he had visited several villages of the Potawatomies. Godfroy said that the Indians living in these villages want to attack one of the settlements of Detroit. According to Godfroy, these Indians are <almost naked>, meaning that they are not heavily armed and would not be able to do much harm. Godfroy is currently living with the Miamis.
