Joseph Sinclair to William Medill, September 21, 1846
Sinclair writes to Medill that he has asked the Chief and head men of the Miami tribe to meet him at the Forks of the Wabash. The purpose of this meeting will be to <urge upon them a compliance with their treaty stipulations with the Government.> Sinclair also discusses a contract that received the sanction of the President. Sinclair states he will be able to secure aid of other people interested in helping remove the Miami.
