Joseph Sinclair to William Medill, September 29, 1846
Sinclair and the Captain counseled with the Miami at the Forks of the Wabash. The Miami agreed to <remove peacefully and quietly, and that they would go by water.> The Miami were told to move to a camp.
Next, Sinclair writes that <the Indians have promised that they will not listen to the Traders.> He believes the emigration will go smoothly, but does not know what the Miami will do after the conclusion of the latest council.
