This letter sent from Piqua by Johnston is meant to inform Cass that he was honored to receive the letter from Cass on the 23rd and agreeable to his request. He has enclosed the invoice of the Wyandot Annuity for 1816. This references the removal of the Wyandot tribe in previous letters to Lewis Cass. Johnston gives Cass the invoice indicating that the land has been acquired and the payment for the Wyandotts is being billed to Cass at this time. John Johnston was an Indian Agent who resided in Piqua, Ohio during this time.
