Wolcott writes in this part of the letter to Cass that he has enclosed last quarter's[3rd Quarter of 1827] accounts for his agency. Wolcott informs Cass that the reason for the delay was because Wolcott was in poor health. Despite being only 37, Wolcott would pass away 3 years later. The expenditures from said quarter were $1,779.07. Land was also sold to a Mr. [John] Kinzie, agent of the American Fur Co., who forwarded this letter to his lawyer James Abbot Esq.
