Contract for Miami Removal and Emigration Physician, Robert Peebles, March 30, 1846
This letter is a contract <entered into by Thomas Dowling with the United States of America for the removal of the Miami Tribe of Indiana from their present location in Indiana to the Country set apart for them west of the Mississippi River.>
Thomas Dowling is at expense of furnishing a physician for the emigration, which is to be Graham Fitch. His compensation is to be $5 per day, which will start once the Miami begin assembling for their removal.
