(Started on Roll 2_27) A meeting with the Indians concerning the boundary lines established from the Treaty of Detroit being surveyed has just ended. With knowledge that <the British are to come into the possession of the opposite Country again>, their demeanor towards the United States has changed; <their conduct is far more haughty and independent>. They do not believe that the Treaty of Detroit and everything that resulted from it is valid. According to Woodbridge, <the people of this Territory [Michigan] will certainly remain exposed to the danger of an Indian war>.
