A report of the emigration of the Miami Indians. The first moving people from the group of Miamis was started from Peru, Indiana on October 6th, 1846. They arrived west of the Mississippi on November 9th, 1846. This is from the receipts of Subagent Vaughan and the Superintendent of Emigration. There were 328 Indians that moved west of the Mississippi. If these people failed to move there were consequences.
