|This letter / note is broken up into four different small sections. They look like journal entries. The first section is written on October 8th, 1846. Two hundred dollars as an advance on my account of my salary as Superintendent of the Miami Emigration. Written by Joesph Sinclair.|
The second section is titled No. 259. On November 7th, 1846, he received one hundred and seventy three dollars from Alexis Coquillard as a payment of a portion of his salary as Superintendent of the Miami Emigration. Written by Joesph Sinclair.
The third section is titled No. 323. On November 10th, 1846, he received forty five dollars from Alexis Coquillard to be applied to his salary as Superintendent of the Miami Emigration. Written by Joseph Sinclair.
The fourth section was written from Fort Wayne on February 17th, 1847. He wanted receipts in his possession of his job as secretary of the Miami Emigration.
