This is about recommending Alexis Coquillard as a suitable contractor for the removal of what is remaining. This was received on March 5th, 1847.
In the spring of 2019, Dr. Cameron Shriver’s “Intro to the Miami Tribe” students researched the records of the Superintendent of Indian Affairs in the Michigan District (which included the Miami Tribe in northern Indiana) and files of the Office of Indian Affairs related to Miami Removal to west of the Mississippi River in 1846.
