Geo Graham to Lewis Cass, March 27th, 1817
|Graham enclosed a copy of a letter addressed to the Superintendents General of Indian Trade relative to licenses granted to Indian Traders by Major Puthuff. Graham wants Cass to pay particular attention to this.|
He has requested that Cass will adopt regulations relative to trade licensures that aligned with the Act of March 30th, 1812.
He also enclosed a copy of a letter from M. Jouett. It is containing information about the creation of quarters and wished Cass to contact General Macomb about this issue.
Great funds are committed in relation to rations given to the Indians.
