Johnston says that he has calculated the amount of money he needs, and the amount that he is being given with the new budget is inadequate by about 1/4 (6,000 is what he needs, he is given 4,500). He says he can guarantee he won't go over 6,000, even though that is a low estimate. He says the Delaware Interpreter will go to Cass with an update about the Delawares and the sale of White River Country.
