The person sent to Green Bay to investigate the Winnebagoes has found they are going to <"do us mischief">. He says a party has done a war dance in order to spread blood at Jouett's post. The person sent to investiage was Mr. Boubia, accompanied by Potawatomies of Milliwakie. Jouett is sending Indians from the Fox River to double check this info and to try to keep a war party from coming to the fort. Jouett says something must be done about the Winnebagoes since they are unfriendly--he recommends a treaty. He says they threaten to cut of communication with Green Bay. But Jouett also explicitly says that the <"Potawatomies, Chippawas and Ottawas are entirely friendly">. The fort is lacking necessary Blacksmith tools as well.
