Cass gets authorization for making a treaty to take the land of the Wyandots. Graham says the Wyandots mistakenly think they have more land than they do, and that Cass should be able to explain to them the laws that say they should only be on 5,000 acres (which will expire in 50 years).

Graham tells Cass that a letter is attached giving him and General McArthur the authority to hold treaties with the Indians in Ohio (the letter by Monroe). There is an update of policies that have and haven't passed Congress. This includes funding to buy Indian lands, which Graham tells Cass to make sure to give a Contractor notice of dates of treaties so that he can supply the needed rations.
